AWL: Weekend Edition
Welcome to A Wellington Life: Weekend Edition - I’ve curated a few items to read, watch, listen to, and make this weekend to add a touch of extra sparkle to your everyday life.
We are in the final few weeks of school - those last dragging-out days until the promise of summer holidays. I am always equal parts relieved and surprised by the UK school schedule. The school year runs early September-late July, with only 6 weeks for summer break.
At the same time, we have several half-term and term breaks, which divide the school year in a really pleasant way. There is a rhythm to the school year that gives children a reprieve (and torments working parents).
At any rate, we are counting the days to be a bit lazier, spending time outside exploring and watching movies and making arts and crafts.

Really excited to get into this - mostly because the show features several If Only If nightgowns. Plot: After a breakup, New York workaholic Jessica moves to London planning on being alone. She meets Felix who causes her to reconsider finding love again. Inject it into my veins.

Mary Berry’s Beetroot Chocolate Cake I’m making this for a village fair this weekend, and a second one for us to enjoy at home - it is honestly divine and I dream of it every time we have beets ready to harvest.
